Recommended pre-req.

  1. http://wiki.novell.com/index.php/Universal_Password#Software_recommendations
    1. Update NW client to 4.91 sp4 and ensure nmas is installed
    2. Update servers to "Security Services 2.0.5 update which includes NMAS 3.2.0. Unfortunately, the Security Services 2.0.5 installation script omits updating the schema. You should follow the schema update instructions from TID3701028. Note most of Security Services 2.0.5 is already included in NetWare 6.5 SP7, eDirectory 8.8SP2 or OES2 except for 2 additional bugfixes included only in ss205."
    3. Verify all NW servers are nw 6.5 sp5 or newer
    4. Import Schema from 8.8 tree

  1. Tree keys were out of sync, but PSE used sdidiag to resolve tree key issues

Action Items

  1. PSE to lab customers DIB on nw 6.5 and insert OES 2 edir 8.8 and report findings
  2. PSE to find stress testing tools for XEN Linux - high IO
  3. Customer to start implementing recommended software for edir 8.8/OES 2
