Setup Instructions

1. On the phone, verify that you have a working wifi or data connection. If your Novell Data Sync Server resides inside a firewall, ensure that your internet connection will allow you to access it.
2. On phone, go to Settings > Accounts > Add Account.
3. Select Corporate Account.
4. Populate the required fields with the correct information (user email address, userid, password, server IP address, etc.)
   1. Reference the note in the section below, SSL Considerations.
5. Finish walking through the steps and complete setup.
6. Your Email, Calendar, and Contacts can now sync.
   1. If calendar or contacts don't seem to be syncing yet, create a calendar event or contact on the device and sync it to the Data Sync Server. This sometimes speeds up the process.

• Names for all sub calendars will not sync to the device. Instead, all of the sub calendars will be shown with the account name.

• When creating a distributed appointment if the only invitee is the creator himself, it wont synchronize to GroupWise.

Other Notes

• Kill Pill is supported with Android 2.2+. In order to make this work "Device Security Policy" must be enabled under the Mobility Connector settings. (Update3 or higher is needed on Datasync server).

• When the Device Security Policy is enabled, changed, or disabled, this device will quit syncing with the server. To work-around this device issue, the user must remove and re-add their account on the device. Once this is done, the device will properly download and apply the security policy to the device, after which time syncing will resume.
