  1. Review purging sys for FS_DOA_NWC1
    1. completed Aug 14
    2. bring back into cluster and see if he is stable
  2. X AnnL user needs gwia restarted

  3. Review moving gwia to gwmail2
  4. 10 servers in report timesync
    1. bt1
    2. found nwmaster softabend - used very little and should be retired
  5. confirm large attachment pending issue
  6. mccarran to review retiring and perhaps replacing old servers with one new box - or NCS

  1. past action items
    1. cluster fixed? Purge seemed to work, updated backup networker (7.22 7.21 (most unstable)).
    2. moving gwia? customer comfortable with it on gwmail1 - prep work 1) ensure agents installed on mail2 2) create new domain (so org is intact) 3)
      1. currently indifferent - monitor for a few months - revisit if things change (like stability or issues)
    3. large attachment pending issue? Rick spoke with Sam - Sam has not seen it for a long time.
    4. retire and replace old out of support (software/hardware) with new NCS (cluster) or one box
      1. document file shares
      2. getting to supported OS/hardware
    5. open SRs
      1. nw 6.0 sp6 FS_DOA_NWC1 is abending - close SR.
  2. BT is dying - replace BT - moving it to a quick solution (windows), dns/dhcp will come to HQ.

  1. looked over nwc2 - abended on cpq and lost cluster comms. disabled ipx on nwc2. Still has snap and other junk

  1. investigate moving bt1/bt2
  2. ideally subnet will NOT change

      1. update POA ip addr in c1, if that fails modify /opt/novell/groupwise/agents/share/becfield.poa for ip addr/port 1677

    2. b1 has ndps (PROVIDED the NDPS clients are PURE NDPS and NOT iprint, the ndps mgr can be moved without issue). Also, PROVIDED the phy printer devices do NOT move.
      1. moving printers subnet?
        1. Change the IP the Printer Agent points to:
          1. a. Go to Novell Remote Manager(https://[IPorDNSofPrintServer]:8009)
          2. b. Go to NDPS Manager Health (link on left frame)
          3. c. Click the link for a Printer Agent in the list
          4. d. Click the Configuration Options link
          5. e. Modify the IP Address in the Gateway Autoload Command

NDPSGW PORT=RAW HOSTADDRESS=x.x.x.x

f. Click Apply g. Click Apply to the "Shutdown Printer" h. Click Apply to the "Startup Printer"

      1. ensure A record is updated
    2. DNS on NW - use the dns console
    3. DHCP not going to be on NW anymore.
    4. retire edir1

  3. Go with OES 2 cluster - PSE is cool with it for File/Print, but would need to discuss and get experience from others

  1. looking for which OS to upgrade GW8 on. Retiring NW, so if one needs edir on linux then use OES2 sp1 (sles 10 sp1 with novell services) on 2-3 GW servers
